The Partisan Report endorses special election congressional candidates in Louisiana

LOUISIANA

The GOP has taken some self-inflicted wounds by the departure of strong congress members. Most have been in office a while and I’m sure working as a minority power in ridiculously partisan congress isn’t very appealing. Jim McCrery and Richard Baker will step down from their post and Bobby Jindal left his seat to serve as Governor of the state.

The Party can fold up and go home or the Republicans in the state can see to it that good Republican’s retain control of these districts. Perhaps new blood and fresh change may give Washington a shot in the arm that it needs. Let’s send good conservative Republicans with a renewed sense of duty and adherence to conservative principles of low taxes, limited government, economic freedom and prosperity to Washington.

On March 8, District 1 will vote in a special election for a congressional choice. The Republicans are fielding great candidates who are similar in many key aspects. At the glance it’s hard to choose and all would make their constituents proud. However, we need a proven leader, a grinder who can adapt to any change in environment. Someone who is unapologetic and has the respect of many who know him. That is why the Partisan Report endorses Ben Morris for the Republican candidate in District 1. Ben Morris is a solid choice, “Our federal government is broken. I believe our taxes are out of control. I believe our traditional values are under assault. I believe ILLEGAL immigration is threatening the future of our country. A little common sense and courage is just what we need in Washington.”

On March 8, voters in District 6 in Louisiana will go to the polls and find their replacement for departing incumbent Richard Baker in a special election. It’s easy to see that Woody Jenkins knows his politics and the way government is suppose to work. He has a proven record as a formal state legislator and has shown on numerous occasions he sides with the tax-payers and loathes out of control spending and big-government. The Partisan Report endorses Woody Jenkins. We need a man like this in Washington. The Club for Growth said this about Jenkins, “Over his many years in political office, Woody Jenkins has proven himself to be the real deal when it comes to standing up for taxpayers and fighting big-government politicians,” said Club for Growth President Pat Toomey. “If elected to Congress, Woody will be a leader in fighting for tax cuts, lower spending, and free-market policies to help advance economic growth in this country.”

  1. I usually voted for conservative Repulican politicians, but that changed when the Republican Party of Louisiana chose to disallow my vote in the primaries. Yes, the committee is a private organization that can make its own rules. What pisses me is that my taxes were used to fund the election that banned my vote.
