A New Group: The Thompson Coalition

A new group has emerged influenced by Fred Thompson’s candidacy, The Thompson Coalition.

This is the second group that I know of. The other being the Conservatives for the Advancement of the Reagan Coalition who also were influenced by Thompson’s principles and Federalism.

The group states,

We are a national network of grassroots conservatives called to action through the reawakening of Federalist Principles ignited in us by the Statesman, Fred Dalton Thompson. We stand upon the foundation of these Principles, in the Jeffersonian Spirit, to defend the Constitution of the United States of America and our way of life.

Through our Internet presence and on the ground volunteerism for Conservative Candidates, we seek to influence local, state and national elections to restore our Constitutional Government.

We seek to build bridges between other grassroots Conservative networks to effect concerted efforts for promoting traditional American values. In the Republican tradition we believe that government governs best that governs least.

Here is a video from their site called Fred Thompson - First Principles. It’s got some pretty good moments during Fred’s candidacy. It’s things such as these that remind me why I supported him so heavily.
