Congressional GOP Candidate in Louisiana raising serious cash

Republican Congressional candidate Chris Gorman has raised over $350,000 in the last 30 days according to FEC first quarter filing. The PR reported on Gorman once in the past and promised to keep watch as the race picks up. Since that first article, he has emerged as the leading candidate since he officially announced his candidacy. Gorman is a pro-business, pro-values, anti-tax conservative Republican who looks to be leading the way to replace retiring Congressman Jim McCrery in Louisiana CD-4.

A campaign release from Chris Gorman on his early success.

“I am deeply humbled by this tremendous early support,” Gorman said. “We’re proud to reach our first fundraising milestone in just 30 days. From the bottom of my heart I thank my team and our early supporters for their help.”

Gorman pointed toward setting up an early campaign organization, having a strong conservative message and a pro-business background as the key factors behind the campaign’s significant momentum.

“Voters want a Congressman that supports their pro-family, pro-small business values – someone who knows what it’s like to create jobs, meet a payroll, raise a family, and support the community,” Gorman said. “I am the candidate with the right message, right organization, and the right financial support to win in November and keep the Fourth District a Republican seat.”

Gorman, 38, served as Executive Vice-President of Tango Transport, one of the Northwest Louisiana’s largest employers, prior to becoming a full-time candidate for Congress.
