Former Republican Bob Barr is Libertarian Presidential Pick

I actually had a chance to watch some of the C-SPAN coverage and heard his speech as well as others in attendance. From the looks of the crowd, to me it looked like he had many supporters pulling for his name on the ticket.Sure enough, after six rounds of balloting, the Libertarian Party picked Bob Barr to head the party’s presidential ticket. He beat out Mary Ruwart for the top spot. Barr left the GOP back in 2006, saying the party left its basic principles. Namely, excessive spending and growth of government.
