Nanci Pelosi applaudes Iran’s ‘Goodwill’ for ‘marginal’ success of surge

The Iranian regime long expected for facilitating weapons and munitions responsible for the death of U.S. service men and women, and of course, was later proven to be the case, has received credit from Speaker Nanci Pelosi. It’s her way of giving credit where credit is due. I mean after all, the American military failed miserably in the surge but the Iranians and all their benevolence saved the Iraqi country by ending the violence in Basra. In an interview yesterday with San Franciso Chronicle

Well, the purpose of the surge was to provide a secure space, a time for the political change to occur to accomplish the reconciliation. That didn’t happen. Whatever the military success, and progress that may have been made, the surge didn’t accomplish its goal. And some of the success of the surge is that the goodwill of the Iranians-they decided in Basra when the fighting would end, theynegotiated that cessation of hostilities-the Iranians.

It sounds like the Democrats are having another typical week leading the agenda for America. Maybe Obama will be sure to go to Iran after all. He has a lot of thanking and applauding to do.
