Ron Paul planning own convention in Minnesota

Ron Paul will do his best to send a message to the Republican Party by holding his own convention. He is planning to have over 10,000 supporters gather at Williams Arena at the University of Minnesota on Sept. 2,.

Paul received 35 delegates but has not been invited to speak at the Republican convention due to his refusal to endorse John McCain.

He is expected to announce details for the rally Thursday at the start of the Texas Republican Convention in Houston.

It’s a given that Paul will be blasted by many pundits, and I don’t totally agree with this move myself, but the reality is that Paul has never been outwardly against the Republican Party, rather he has concentrated on returning the Party back to what he views the GOP should be.

In the end I don’t think anyone will care too much.

  1. Who cares. I mean really. Why did you even bother to report it, let alone, add it to your ‘featured’ article section?
