Pelosi on the Defensive
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has turned personnel and sees no reason to pull the punches, when referring to the President anymore. With President Bush’s approval rating low and a new President on the horizon Pelosi calls Bush a “total failure”. This is after Bush called out Congress for not doing its job. The Democrats are acting as if they don’t have to do anything until the election. This has been the longest any Congress has not passed a spending bill in the last 20 years.
I say at least he is trying to fix the economy, trying to improve things in Iraq, trying to fix the gas situation and at the very least trying to make a difference. I also think it’s easy for Pelosi to criticize the President from here cozy corner of democratic-filled California. I want to see her run a national campaign. Have her every move and opinion dissected as if its 8th grade science all over again. She didn’t even care nor have an opinion on who would be the Presidential candidate. Who did she pick between Obama and Hillary? She liked Obama…wait…I remember Hillary, no wait…now I remember she said she wanted the election to “run its course”. What a decisive decision for a major player in the Democratic party, way to show guts and an aptitude to lead.
