And Democrats wonder who to blame

South Carolina’s Democratic Party chairwoman, Carol Fowler, said McCain picked a running mate “whose primary qualification seems to be that she hasn’t had an abortion.”She later gave an apology that was designed as a parting shot. She said she made the comment towards single issue voters in South Carolina. She was clearly insinuating that those who are prolife are unsophisticated and consumed on one single issue.

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham has a comment about the Democrats and Fowler’s remarks.

“I think it has more to do with the fact our Democratic colleagues and opponents are in a meltdown mode over Gov. Palin,” Graham said. He said Palin “has, I think, thrown our opponents for a loop in terms of how they engage the McCain-Palin ticket.”

  1. I literally laughed out loud when I read Fowler’s comment, so politically incorrect but so true.

  2. K, that’s like Newt Gingrich saying the only qualification Obama has is being black and for Democrats that’s plenty nuff.

Or the only qualification Obama has is being able to tap into White Guilt.

It’s insulting but thank God Democrats believe everyone else are stupid uneducated rubes.

  3. I’ll not defend the Dems there.

I’ll just say the GOP followed suit in “[believing] everyone else are stupid uneducated rubes” when they elected Palin. However, it’s possible that the demographic she is attracting may be.

  4. I don’t follow. And can you defend that?

  5. I see K for Barr (special K?) trying to be a little insulting.

So K for Barr, you don’t see one ounce of principle in Palin? You think that people who don’t view liquidating infants as a “choice” are stupid and worth laughing at? That Palin was brought in to rally the inbread Jeds? Issue voters are keeping the country in the stone ages? Would you prefer us to be Eurabia? Now those are some enlightened, atheistic souls (no pun intended).

I really want to get in the brain of those who despise those who are prolife. If I see something fundlementally wrong with killing off the unborn as means to prevent stretch marks (make no mistake about it, that is what abortion is amounted today) then tell me what is enlightenment? What is sophistication?

  6. Yea I’m Special K

My comment was a bit insulting and a generalization. I apologize.

I don’t feel that teaching faith in science class is an educated position to take. That is something she advocates and I think it will cause us to backtrack in our already failing education system.

In my personal opinion, yes I do think that the vice president’s stance on abortion is insigniicant. First of all, the decision that abortion is constitutional was made in Roe v. Wade. I realize some people vote for president based solely on the logic that an anti-abortion president will appoint an anti-abortion SCJ if one dies so that they can overturn Roe. However the Vice President does not even get to appoint SCJ’s.

So I guess “enlightenment” and “sophistication” would be realizing that the Vice President has no real influence on whether abortion stops being constitutional.

  7. I totally agree with the chairwoman. Most Republicans would elect Hitler if only he promised to save a batch of goo that is no more a life than morning flem is.

  8. K, what were you saying about our education system? Ridiculous could be a case study on how Godless liberalization and indoctrination vs education is destroying our culture. I bet if you ask him or her she would agree that we evolved from primates or a “batch of goo.” Credit our education system. Ridiculous do you think we should give our distant cousins, Apes, human rights?

As for education, we’re into more of the social sciences now adays. Why its ok for Timmy to have two dads and so forth. Not playing with real jump ropes on the playground. Instead use imaginary ones so everyone can be equal. That’s garbage. The reason why our education is failing is because we don’t get taught. We get indoctrinated. We water it down so as not to leave the slows behind. A direct contradiction of the Godless theory of evolution!!

When people talk of creationism they don’t mean faith teaching. I’m sure you know that it just helps make your case when you make the other side sound like radicals by advocating they mean to teach “faith in science class.” The teaching of Creationism would go along ways in filling holes in those pesky, unobserved and ensupported theories of evolution in micro/macro economics

K, don’t ever forget and don’t ever assume that there aren’t equally bright and wonderful minds in the scientific field who believe in a creator. Just as qualified as their peers in their field. They just believe in real theories where something caused motion instead of assuming.

  9. As for the VP thing.

It’s called Realpolitik, K. It works and it’s effective as evident since her entry.

  10. Yes, I am a Liberal! And I do believe animals should have rights. They share this planet with us too you know.

What would creationism teach us? The world is flat again? I believe in abortion as a right have I been indoctrinated jay?

Spare me the speech on abortion when real kids are dying in Iraq or starving to death in our cities

I bet you’ll give me a speech on Iraq too but you’ve probably never even been there! Cand you even find it on a map?

You Republicans and Conservatives are such whacks! You scare me and have been the biggest stain on this country. I’ve thought of moving because of Bush!

  11. Ridiculous, I don’t have to explain myself to you. Just know that I can find Iraq on a map.

By the way, “real” kids (as opposed to fake ones, I guess) starve and are neglected in our cities because more people believe “animals should have rights” and a “batch of goo that is no more a life than morning flem is.”

Also they die in Iraq because of people like you would rather move than serve. You’re excessive like most individualist liberals.

And yes, I would say you are fully indoctrinated. You are a fine finished product of liberal America.

You’ve really added “volume” to our discussion and I want to thank you for that….

  12. LooJ I completely agree that “no child left behind” is a horrible program that Bush supported. The problems you mention with our education system I agree with.

One thing you may not know, is throughout my entire study of Microbiology and Evolution never once was primordial ooze mentioned. Neither was how nonliving matter can become living matter. Hell, microevolution is only taught to the extent that similarities can be between species. That is what I advocate, teach what can actually be taught. If it is mere speculation whether it be faith or primordial ooze keep it out of the science class. Saying “Godless theory of evolution” does make you sound like a right-wing radical. I believe in God and evolution.

  13. fair enough…i was just more interested in making my point. Ridiculous motivated me for an over kill.

“unobserved and ensupported theories of evolution in micro/macro economics”

should read “micro/macro evolution” by the way. But I’m sure you figured it out.

And for the record, I wasn’t trying to loop you specifically in to my rant. Sorry if it read like that.
